Baptiste - Communication Director
May 20, 2019

This month, AutoWebbb wants to highlight its Communication Director, Baptiste, who talks about the specificities of his job and what his work at AutoWebbb consists in!

Can you talk about your professional career?

After the Baccalaureate in economics, I had not really found my way. So I went to the Tech de Co Institute of Technology to discover marketing and trade. After taking several courses focused on communication and advertising, I decided to continue in this direction by integrating Sup de Pub in Bordeaux. I first joined the School in Bachelor Advertising Strategy and Master in Brand Strategy.

I joined the agency in 2016. Armand (Director of AutoWebbb) wanted to integrate advertising specialists with no direct link to motorsport but with a sensitivity to sport. I first did community management and wrote contents as a consultant for some clients. Quickly, the work within the team allowed me to get aware of this environment that I barely discovered. Gradually, I took more and more responsibilities to become Communication Director on March 2018. I now manage the major accounts of the agency, I administer social medias, news on websites and PR management for these.

What is a typical day for you?

I am often (Editor’s note: Always) the last arrived at the agency but surely the first to start the day. My main working tool being my smartphone, I’m at work just out of bed until evening.
Once in the office, my schedule is often well filled with many tasks all day long with coffee, a lot of coffee.

What is your best memory with the agency?

I lived the Drivers Parade in Le Mans with Vaillante REBELLION in 2017 then REBELLION Racing next year. It is an amazing moment where you can really be aware of the craze generated by this event. In 2018, nearly 180,000 fans applauded the drivers on the 1.9km track and I was with them to live the moment from inside on the social medias of the Team.

What is your link with motorsport and what do you like in life?

Basically, my only connection to motorsport is my unconditional love for the sport. Rather passionate about team sports, especially rugby that I struggle to practice between injuries and race weekends. I’m still on the lookout for the matches broadcast on all sports channels that I subscribe or at the stadium to support UBB (Union Bordeaux Bègles).
I still love advertising a lot, during my studies, I co-founded an advertising news blog called Plan Pub Régulier that keeps on living on social medias and allowed me to meet many actors of the advertising world and being part of several international juries including the Epica Awards.

What is most important for a communication director with respect to clients?

The proximity with the customers daily to keep a permanent contact. You have to be attentive to the slightest remark in order to always go along with them.
